a. AAO’s 2023 Conference Theme Announced!
The Archives Association of Ontario is pleased to announce the 2023 Annual Conference to be held from May 10 to May 12, 2023 at the Cobourg Community Centre in Cobourg, Ontario. This year’s theme is Archives Rx: Healthy Collections and Communities.

b. Conference Call for Papers and Reviewers
Call for Papers
The Archives Association of Ontario is pleased to announce its Call for Papers for the 2023 Annual Conference to be held from May 10th to May 12th at the Cobourg Community Centre in Cobourg, Ontario.
This year’s conference theme is Archives Rx: Healthy Collections and Communities. The Conference Program Committee invites proposals for examinations on this general topic in past, present, and future contexts.
The deadline for proposals is January 6, 2023. All proposals will be reviewed by a peer panel. We expect to inform all those who have put forward a proposal the result of the panel’s deliberations in early February.

c. Toronto Area Archivists Group (TAAG) presents Copyright Escapades: Copyright can be fun!
Join the TAAG’s evening of copyright fun with Jean Dryden and Hujma Chowdhury. Please note that space is limited for this event, register soon to guarantee your spot!
When: Thursday, November 24, 2022, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (followed by a 20-minute tour of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club)
Where: 141 St. George Street (St. George & Bloor – Royal Canadian Yacht Club)
Cost: $20 (members), $15 (students), $40 (non-members)
Prerequisite: None, although some knowledge of copyright would be helpful.

e. Tom and Christine Symons Archival Fellowship (bourse d'archivage Tom et Christine Symons) Trent University
The Tom and Christine Symons Archival Fellowship was established in 2018 to honour the many facets of Professor Tom Symons’ work and legacy. It supports archival research using the T.H.B. Symons and related fonds located in the Trent University Library and Archives, Peterborough, Canada.
