2026 Conference

The Archives Association of Ontario is thrilled to announce the 2026 Annual Conference, our first in-person gathering in years, to be held from May 6-8 at St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto.

Theme: Object Lessons: Continuing Care for the Physical in a Digital World

This return to a physical space invites us to reflect on the heart of the archival tradition: the stewardship of physical objects for the long term in an increasingly digital society. When access is so often virtually mediated, what is the evolving role of the physical artifact? How do we respond to changing researcher expectations while preserving the unique value and materiality of original, physical records? This conference will explore the enduring importance, practical challenges, and profound joys of caring for physical collections.

Information for Sponsors:

The AAO is extremely excited for our 2026 Conference to be happening in person for the first time in several years! While in-person conferences come with increased costs to ensure our attendees receive an exceptional experience, there are also an abundance of opportunities to get involved and provide support for our members.

Sponsorship is available on a variety of levels and includes opportunities for branding, exhibit space, and recognition. Sponsors are able to contribute to the overall operation of the 3-day conference through our tiers or sponsor specific events throughout the conference.

The AAO is grateful to all of our past sponsors and looks forward to building relationships with leading companies throughout the cultural sector.

If you are interested in sponsoring the AAO’s annual conference or have any questions about sponsorship and the benefits discussed throughout our sponsorship package, please get in touch! We are happy to work with you and your organization to find a sponsorship opportunity which is beneficial to our organization and yours.
